21 de setembro: Dia da Árvore (Earth First)

"I think we are deeply hurting in America. I think we are deeply craving answers. I think we have lost our identity as we have evolved into technology and into industrialized society. Bring me to this cathedral [the forest]. Bring me to those guys [the trees] Bring me to this rock that has the most incredible life. That makes me feel alive."
-- Syndee L'ome Grace, Earth First! member

""I've looked at clear cuts and burnt forests and I've felt outraged but I didn't scream and I didn't cry and I need to AAAAAAAhhhhAAAAAAAAhhhhAAAAAAUUUUUU!!"

A detailed re-enactment of The Queen's Coronation, called The Children's Coronation, took place on 3rd June 2002 in Cornwall, as the principal event in the Jubilee celebrations of the Parish of St Just in Roseland. It was performed on the Quay in St Mawes by nine and ten year old children from St Mawes School, together with a few adults.

Villagers created a 2.5m tall golden Coronation Coach, to be pulled by members of the Gig Club, a Coronation Chair, authentic dresses, robes and regalia and principal items of the Crown Jewels. Royal approval was later received by letter from HM The Queen and in a visit from HRH the Duke of Cornwall.
